This Safer Cancer Care ground-breaking film project explores current clinical practice, and how healthcare establishments can vastly improve safety for their employees working with, or around Hazardous Medicinal Products (HMPs); in pharmacy, to nursing and beyond. Consisting of 3 hours of educational material edited into sections, the film features Fred Massoomi PharmD and Seth Eisenberg, Oncology Nurse Consultant globally renowned experts in occupational health and hazardous medicinal product (HMP) exposure research, who discuss and present best practices for the safe handling of HMPs. Fred and Seth bring their specialist insights and an overview of the USA’s own path to mandatory safety protections to a European audience. Serving as an educational resource for global healthcare organisations, this film highlights clinical best practices, workplace risk mitigation, and the effective implementation of protective measures. Ultimately, it provides a blueprint for long-lasting institutional change to protect frontline staff both now and in the future. We all rely on our healthcare systems to be there for when we, or our families and friends may need them; all who work with, or around hazardous medicinal products must be protected.
